Color.

Colorful furs on the Gucci fall/winter 2011 runways lends a hand to gangster-chic pimpettes that I am totally digging. I'm looking forward to another winter season with my
vintage maroon rabbit fur jacket-
complete with mafioso shoulder pads- to keep me warm and toasty during next year's cold weather days and nights.

Estee Lauder's newest skincare ad campaign. The beauty is overwhelming.

“Estée Lauder always used to say that any woman can be beautiful, and she expressed that in many ways, including through advertising. This campaign is a modern interpretation of some of the most memorable ads Estée created over the years. Joan, Liu Wen and Constance are all global beauties who will help us express all facets of beauty and write a new chapter for the brand.” - Aerin Lauder, senior vice president and creative director for Estée Lauder. “

Art ENVI

A shameless cross-promotional plug of the new ENVI Shoes Spring 2011 lookbook- featuring illustrations by Jennifer Guzman of the Jeffrey Campbell "White Line" being sold online... soon. What do you think? I have to say they are pretty rad!

Anthro Who?

This new photo shoot from VOGUE Nippon has that certain je ne sais quoi. The cracked paint walls and antique furniture are reminiscent of the American retailer Anthropologie, but the editing/styling here is cooler more refined. Spring hues in a muted palette are stunning against model Patricia van der Vliet's (can you say "Hallo Deutschland!") golden blond locks. I especially love that the peach Christopher Kane (BFC's Fashion Fund Award winner) dress is featured. And no, he's not sold at Anthro.

Plugging Away

Sometimes where you work can make the act of working a bit more enjoyable. I decided to take my writing and editing for the mag on the road today- due to merchandise pulls outside the city limits- and found a productive spot at Donna's Cafe. Yay for cappuccino!!
