Color.

Colorful furs on the Gucci fall/winter 2011 runways lends a hand to gangster-chic pimpettes that I am totally digging. I'm looking forward to another winter season with my
vintage maroon rabbit fur jacket-
complete with mafioso shoulder pads- to keep me warm and toasty during next year's cold weather days and nights.

Estee Lauder's newest skincare ad campaign. The beauty is overwhelming.

“Estée Lauder always used to say that any woman can be beautiful, and she expressed that in many ways, including through advertising. This campaign is a modern interpretation of some of the most memorable ads Estée created over the years. Joan, Liu Wen and Constance are all global beauties who will help us express all facets of beauty and write a new chapter for the brand.” - Aerin Lauder, senior vice president and creative director for Estée Lauder. “

Art ENVI

A shameless cross-promotional plug of the new ENVI Shoes Spring 2011 lookbook- featuring illustrations by Jennifer Guzman of the Jeffrey Campbell "White Line" being sold online... soon. What do you think? I have to say they are pretty rad!

Anthro Who?

This new photo shoot from VOGUE Nippon has that certain je ne sais quoi. The cracked paint walls and antique furniture are reminiscent of the American retailer Anthropologie, but the editing/styling here is cooler more refined. Spring hues in a muted palette are stunning against model Patricia van der Vliet's (can you say "Hallo Deutschland!") golden blond locks. I especially love that the peach Christopher Kane (BFC's Fashion Fund Award winner) dress is featured. And no, he's not sold at Anthro.

Plugging Away

Sometimes where you work can make the act of working a bit more enjoyable. I decided to take my writing and editing for the mag on the road today- due to merchandise pulls outside the city limits- and found a productive spot at Donna's Cafe. Yay for cappuccino!!

Modge Podge.

As you can tell from my recent posts I have downloaded a photo-editing software program off the internet- and learned to use a bigger font. Collages are now my jam. If anyone has complaints... I do not want to hear them. If anyone has tips or better programs to download (Mac Book Pro) I'd love to hear them...

These are some inspirational pictures I have had on the backburner for some time now. Unfortunately, I do not have proper credit info.

Bop Sale.

I've been kind of Shop Bop-obsessed recently because of their amazing spring sale. Being mid-March it's the perfect time to update part of my spring wardrobe with a new piece or two. I'm thinking of going with a boho-chic floral silk chiffon in a muted palette (layered of course) until the weather warms up. Dilemma- not sure which garment I want need most. Maybe a little spring cleaning is in order too...

Seeing Spots

I'm loving the cheetah/leopard print craze going on every season now. It's a tried but true touch of glamour that can be a total disaster, but, when the spots align, it's simply beautiful. I especially love the colored take on prints from Blumarine's Spring 2011 collection. Of course, street style blogger, Tommy Ton captured gorgeous spotted ladies on the streets of the international fashion capitals. Even Freja Beha Erichsen looks so chic, in head-to-toe leopard, on the cover of VOGUE Brasil's March 2011 issue... as does the model from Givenchy's Spring 2011 collection.

I'm going to grab my own touch of the wild-side with these Stuart Weitzman leopard print calf-hair platform sling-back heels from Bluefly. Shhh... They're on sale!

Belle du Jour

Camilla Belle in Genlux for the Hollywood Pledge. I love the old hollywood glam seeping out of every pore in these images. I'll take one ball gown in every color please. And thank you.
Why is she so gorgeous? No camera trickery here. Serious girl crush.

Suite Life

Our Tuscany Suite at Green Valley Ranch... My two favorite parts? The cheetah ottoman and the Grey Goose in the mini bar.

I'm In Las Vegas...

So I just got back from the fabulous Las Vegas, and let me tell you, it was one hell of a trip. The Wynn's Tower Suites were my home for the duration of the trip (Thurs-Tues) and we ended with one night at the Green Valley Ranch. Le boyfriend did well on the blackjack table and I reaped the benefits by his side and at the spa. Unfortunately, it wasn't until my return trip that I noticed the Las Vegas shopping guide in the April Lucky Mag. I have a great photo montage to share... consider it a three part special.

Entrance to the Wynn Tower Suites. A beautiful tile mosaic floor and live coy fish in the ponds.

New Balenciaga Town Bag.

"33 Black", my winning roulette number!
